    Fireground 2

For those who may not be aware, Fireground 2 is monitored and repeated on the Bristol 460.625 fire repeater. The Fireground 2 receiver hears most of Lower Bucks County, and at times things are said over this frequency that are not meant for the airwaves. There was quite a bit of traffic today from what sounded like a "corner collection" that entertained the lower end of the county. Be aware that the MDC ID's of the portables can be read thru the repeater,  and for the individual today who thought Fireground 2 was not monitored by the county, both fireground channels are recorded   24 X 7. You never know who may be listening !

    Re: Fireground 2

I would like to start out by saying sorry to all of the companies that had to hear us talking on Fire Ground Channels today. This will not happen again. I would also like to say sorry to the radio room for the extra radio traffic.

You would think by now that everyone would understand how and why these radios work the way they do. What if another co would have needed this channel? I believe 65's had a job that day. Unbelieveable! Thank god for this message board.

    Re: Fireground 2

I was told of this thread and had to reply. Having not been to this site for a long time I have found that much hasn't changed in the sniper world of the internet.

The original post brought some clarity to a communication topic but I am not sure what the "corner collection"was referering to. Chief 6 must have known it was his guys so he handled it in station and to the original writer.

Then comes the 65 bashing. Not sure what that had to do with the original topic but if you "insider" guys know who it is please let me know via private email. It seems that a firehouse that has always been open open to visitors and bunkins now offends people, who I guess occassionly  visit with a cover up. We will be glad to take your company off the cover up list if thats the case. Boldness and bravato have been part of the fire service since it's inception. I''m not even going there.

So the invite stands for anyone to come down and ride with a pretty good program. One of the the first bunk in programs, first qrs units and now a very busy and growing area.

Its great to be hated at times too. Being different is sometimes a good thing. What is that saying "lead, follow or get out of the way"

I think the fraternity line "loved or hated, but never ignored" is even better.

One last thing.....I praise Co. #8 for covering are backs over the years.

    Re: Fireground 2

This whole thing started by my department making a mistake. Again I am sorry it happened and it won’t happen again. If anything will be leaked out it will be the truth from me. On Saturday morning we where having our Easter Coin Toss as we do every year. We had some new guys that took radios off of the trucks. These portable radios have dispatch in them and they can hear the west band repeater in them also. The officers didn’t know that these new guys were talking on FG2. I didn’t find out until 65’s had there job. I new guy came running up to me and asked if we were going on it. I told him no and then saw him talking on the radio. I asked what he was on and that is when it was stopped. I am not sure of all the comments that were made over the radio but I am sure that diveresce.6 is trying really hard to get the recording. So I am sure it will turn up sooner or later. I am sorry to 65’s that you guys have been drug into this. I hope this doesn’t cause problems between 6’s and 8’s because we have been training together lately and we have been learning a lot.

    Re: Fireground 2

I would just like to start out by saying that the chief did the right thing by coming on here and saying it was a mistake and saying sorry.  That should of been the end of this hole thing.  Then some incompetent past chief who is to ashamed of himself to say who he is has to come on here and bad mouth the Chief just because the current chief is a far more better Chief then he ever was.  You would think that after the time this person put into the department he would leave it go since he is a past member.  To see a past Chief of mine come on here like he is in 2nd grade and make a fake user name and not say his real name just to talk bad about someone else shows how little that person really is.  To think that this person is a past chief and someone who USED to get looked up toreally makes me feel bad for this person.  I think it is time for all of this to come to an end before it starts in-company fights that are not needed.
