If for any reason an engine company, ladder truck, rescue truck, or other unit fails to respond within four minutes after being dispatched on calls, the next due unit shall be dispatched and the original company re-dispatched. Each piece of apparatus from the same station following the first would be given the following time from time of dispatch: 2nd: 7 minutes, 3rd: 9 minutes, 4th: 11 minutes, adding two minutes for each additional apparatus. To determine these times the dispatcher will use the clock in the computer. Covers and relocates will be given up to ten minutes to respond. When an officer is responding or on scene, apparatus replacements will be at his discretion.
