AIRC - Airplane Crash - Tactical response, the crash or downing of a civilian or military aircraft.

BOMB - Bomb Threat - no response, a chief officer and the fire marshal for the township oro boro are notified.

BURN - Burn Victim - local response, fire company responds any time fire is the cause of the burn.

COV - Cover - this type is not used by police radio. It is a command in the computer to cover multiple pieces of apparatus with one piece of apparatus.

ELEVAT - Stuck Elevator - local response, a report of an elevator stuck in a building.

FALARM - Fire Alarm - local response, any type of automatic fire alarm or smoke dectector activation either reported by a monitoring company or by a civilian, with the exception of a water flow alarm which is a different complaint type. If reported by civilian ask if any odor of smoke or actual smoke is present, if so use appropriate code for type of structure.

FAPL - Appliance Fire - box response, any report of fire or smoke in an apartment building regardless of size.

FAST - Fire Assist Out Of County - this is not used by police radio. It is when apparatus from Bucks County assists a neighboring county at the scene of a fire.

FAUTO - Automobile Fire - local response, report of smoke or fire from an automobile that is an open space, not in a garage or in a carport

FBARN - Barn Fire - tactical response, any report of smoke or fire from a building that is used to store hay, animals or farm equipment.

FBLD - Building Fire - box response, any report of smoke or fire from a large industrial building or strip shopping center.

FBOAT - Boat Fire - local response, any report of smoke or fire coming from a boat that can be towed on a trailer.

FBRU - Brush Fire - local response, any report of a fire involving grass, trees or bushes that are said to be in an open area and that has not effect upon valued property.

FBUS - Bus Fire - local response, report of fire or smoke from a mass transit bus, school bus or private transport service.

FCHMIN - Chimney Fire - tactical response, report of any problem in a dwelling involving the fireplace or chimney. If problem has extended beyond the fireplace use FDWL.

FCOV, LCOV, RCOV - Fire Station Cover - not used by police radio. This is used when a Bucks County apparatus is needed to cover a neighboring county's apparatus in the respective stations (F=Engine, L=Ladder, R=Rescue)

FDUMP - Dumpster Fire - local response, report of smoke or fire from a commercial or trash dumpster. If fire is close to or spreading to another structure, use proper complaint type.

FDWL - Dwelling Fire - tactical response, single family dwelling, condominium, duplex, or trailer.

FEXP - Explosion, local response, report of an explosion outside of a structure.

FGARAG - Garage Fire - tactical response, report of smoke or fire from an unattached garage with no exposure to the main house. If garage is attached or fire is close to or spreading to the main house, use FDWL.

FGRILL - Gas Grill Fire - local response, report of a fire or leak from a grill which is fueled by a flammable gas. If an exposure use FDWL.

FHAZ - Haz Mat at Fixed Location - tactical response, reported spill or leak of a hazardous material inside a fixed location (i.e. inside an industrial building). An attempt should be made to ascertain the type and quantity of the spill.

FHOSP - Hospital Fire - box response, any of the 7 hospitals in Bucks County.

FINFO - Fire Information - no response, any fire related information that is to be kept or announced for fire company knowledge (i.e. road closings, controlled burns).

FINV - Fire Investigation - local response, any report of smoke or smell of smoke outside in an undetermined area or unknown type fire.

FIRE - Fire Others - local response, any type of fire that there is no specific complaint type for (i.e. lawnmowers, vending machines).

FNURS - Nursing Home Fire - box response, report of smoke or fire in a total care facility.

FOBLD - Outbuilding Fire - tactical response, any structure used for storage outside of a dwelling, as long as it is not attached to the dwelling or other structures (i.e. sheds).

FOUT - Fire Reported Out - local response, any report from civilian reporting a fire that has been extinguished and they want the fire company to come out and check the premise.

FPAGE - Fire Service Pages - no response, any requests for the paging of fire service personnel.

FPOL - Fire Police Request - fire police response, any requests for fire police services (traffic control).

FRUB - Rubbish Fire - local response, any report of smoke or fire from a trash receptacle or trash on the street or in the woods. If it is reported to be a dumpster, use FDUMP.

FSCHOL - School Fire - box response, any report of smoke or fire in a place of education, elementary or higher, or a day care center of any kind.

FSPEC - Special Assignment, local response, any request from police, homeowner, or squad for special assistance that does not involve actual fire related problems.

FSPILL - Fuel Spill - local response, pertains to a petroleum spill or leak from any type of fuel tank, cylinder, or supply line used to supply fuel to either a motor vehicle or a heating system for a home or business.

  • Quantity of 250 gallons or less
  • Gas leaking from a parked vehicle
  • Product on highway from a traffic accident
  • This complaint type would replace wash

FSTORE - Small Store Fire - tactical response, any report of smoke or fire in a small store, as long as it is a single unit. If in a strip shopping center use FBLD (i.e. Wawa, 7-11, McDonalds, etc.).

FTA - Traffic Accident with Fire - local response, report of a motor vehicle accident where one or more of the vehicles involved is showing smoke or on fire.

FTHAZ - Hazmat Transportation - tactical response, any report of a spill or leak of hazardous materials from a vehicle, or report of hazardous materials on the side of the roadway, railcar or ship of any kind, which has been placarded. (Try to determine what placard)

FTRAIN - Train Fire - tactical response, any report of smoke or fire from a passenger or freight train.

FTRUCK - Truck Fire - local response, any report of smoke or fire from a pickup truck, semi truck or any type of commercial truck.

FUMEIN - Fumes Inside Structure - tactical response, report of any type of fumes inside a structure.

FUMES - Gas Fumes Outside - local response, any report of foul smell or chemical smell in an outdoor area, if smell is inside of a structure use FUMEIN.

GASL - Gas Leak - local response, pertains to gas product (natural, propane). Leaks from any type of fuel tank, cylinder, or supply line used to supply fuel to either a motor vehicle or a heating system for a home or business.

MEDVAC - Air Medical Evacuation - local response, any time a helicopter is requested by the police, squad, or fire officer at an accident scene or other medical emergency where the fire company responds to set up a landing zone.

RAUTO - Auto Extrication - rescue box response, report of a motor vehicle accident where one or more of the subjects cannot get out or be removed because of entrapment by the vehicle, either inside or outside of the vehicle.

RCLIFF - Cliff Rescue - rescue box response, report of a person down on an embankment or over the side of a cliff or mountain where access is limited.

RCONF - Confined Space Rescue - rescue box response, any report of a person trapped in any type of confined space (i.e. manhole, cave).

RDOM - Domestic Rescue - rescue box response, any type of household emergency where a subject is caught or trapped by something around the house (i.e. child stuck in railing). Discretion may be used when dispatching a company without rescue vehicle (i.e. small toys can be transported with patient to hospital by EMS and do not require fire dept. response).

RESCUE - Rescue (Not Specified)

RFARM - Farm Equipment Rescue - rescue box response, report of any type of accident involving any type of farm machinery where the person is trapped in or under the equipment (i.e. body part trapped in an auger or PTO).

RIND - Industrial Rescue - rescue box response, any type of emergency in an industrial or office complex where a worker is entrapped by something, in something, or under something in the workplace (i.e. hand caught in machine).

RMAR - Marine Rescue - marine rescue assignment, any report of an overtuned boat, overboard people from a boat or swimmers in distress.

RTRENC - Trench Rescue - rescue box response, report of a subject trapped in a work hole in the ground.

SAIRC - Small Plane Crash - gliders, single or twin engine aircraft, helicopters, and hot air balloons.

STDBY - Traffic Accident Standby - local response, any time the fire company is requested by police to standby at a motor vehicle accident where fire protection may be needed due to position of vehicle.

TRAIN - Train Derailment - rescue box response, any report of any type of train accident, passenger or freight.

WASH - Wash Highway - local response, process of removing debris and spillage of fluids, which are inheriteed to a vehicle from a surface (ex: leaking gas tank on a car, anti-freeze on the highway).

WATER - Waterflow Alarm - local response, report from a monitoring company or civilian reporting an active waterflow alarm or water flowing from a sprinklered building.

WIREIN - Wires Burning Inside - tactical response, report of electrical burning or odor inside of a structure. If open flames burning on wall, use proper complaint type for size and type of structure.

WIRES - Wires Outside - local response, report of wires down on the roadway or side of roadway where the wires are live or arching.
