The following procedure has been established to alert companies that are in
service on the zone frequency of an additional alarm.
Immediately following the alarm being dispatched on the dispatch frequency, it
will be rebroadcast on the zone frequency as follows: Dispatch the alert tone
for three seconds, the box number, the address of the alarm and the type of
alarm.
Example: "Alert tone, Tactical Box 90-11, fire is reported at 11 Grier Street, a
dwelling."
"Engine 90 to Bucks County, received, 11 Grier Street, a dwelling."
The dispatcher must receive an acknowledgment from an officer or apparatus
that this call has been received.
